পবিত্র তৌরাতের ১০০ আয়াত।

১. "যে কেহ পশুর সহিত সঙ্গম করে, তাহাকে অবশ্য মারিয়া ফেলিবে। পশুকেও মারিয়া ফেলিবে"। (লেবীয় ২০:১৫)  

"If a man lies with a beast, he shall surely be put to death. And you shall kill the beast"। (Leviticus 20:15)

২. "যে স্ত্রীলোক কোন পশুর নিকটে যায়, তাহার সহিত সঙ্গম করিতে, তুমি সেই স্ত্রীলোককে ও সেই পশুকে মারিয়া ফেলিবে"। (লেবীয় ২০:১৬)  

"If a woman approaches any beast and lies with it, you shall kill the woman and the beast"। (Leviticus 20:16)

৩. "যে পুরুষ ঋতুমতী স্ত্রীলোকের সহিত শয়ন করে, সে তাহার উৎস উন্মোচন করিয়াছে; তাহারা উভয়ে নিজ জাতির মধ্য হইতে উচ্ছিন্ন হইবে"। (লেবীয় ২০:১৮)  

"If a man lies with a woman during her menstrual period, both of them shall be cut off from among their people"। (Leviticus 20:18)

৪. "তোমার গরুর সহিত তোমার গাধার যোত লাগাইবে না"। (দ্বিতীয় বিবরণ ২২:১০)  

"You shall not plow with an ox and a donkey together"। (Deuteronomy 22:10)

৫. "তোমার ক্ষেত্রে দুই প্রকার বীজ বুনিবে না; আর তোমার পরিধেয় বস্ত্র দুই প্রকার সূত্র মিশ্রিত হইবে না"। (লেবীয় ১৯:১৯)  

"You shall not sow your field with two kinds of seed, nor shall you wear a garment of cloth made of two kinds of material"। (Leviticus 19:19)

৬. "তুমি ছাগশাবককে তাহার মাতার দুগ্ধে পাক করিবে না"। (যাত্রাপুস্তক ২৩:১৯)  

"You shall not boil a young goat in its mother’s milk"। (Exodus 23:19)

৭. "যদি কোন লোকের অবাধ্য ও দুর্দান্ত পুত্র থাকে, নগরের লোকেরা তাহাকে প্রস্তরাঘাতে মারিয়া ফেলিবে"। (দ্বিতীয় বিবরণ ২১:১৮-২১)  

"If a man has a stubborn and rebellious son, then all the men of the city shall stone him to death"। (Deuteronomy 21:18-21)

৮. "যে স্ত্রীলোক দুই পুরুষের যুদ্ধের সময়ে অপর পুরুষের লজ্জাস্থান ধরে, তুমি তাহার হাত কাটিয়া ফেলিবে; তোমার চক্ষু তাহাকে ক্ষমা করিবে না"। (দ্বিতীয় বিবরণ ২৫:১১-১২)  

"If a woman seizes a man by his private parts, then you shall cut off her hand. Your eye shall have no pity"। (Deuteronomy 25:11-12)

৯. "যদি কোন পুরুষ কোন কুমারী কন্যাকে পাইয়া তাহার সহিত শয়ন করে, তবে সে পঞ্চাশ শেকল রৌপ্য কন্যার পিতাকে দিবে, আর সে তাহাকে বিবাহ করিবে"। (দ্বিতীয় বিবরণ ২২:২৮-২৯)  

"If a man meets a virgin who is not betrothed, and seizes her and lies with her, then the man shall give to the father of the young woman fifty shekels of silver, and she shall be his wife"। (Deuteronomy 22:28-29)

১০. "যদি কোন পুরুষ কোন বিবাহিতা স্ত্রীলোকের সহিত শয়ন করে, তবে তাহারা উভয়ে মরিবে"। (লেবীয় ২০:১০)  

"If a man commits adultery with the wife of his neighbor, both the adulterer and the adulteress shall surely be put to death"। (Leviticus 20:10)

১১. "যদি কোন পুরুষের বীর্যস্খলন হয়, তবে সে জলে স্নান করিবে, আর সন্ধ্যা পর্যন্ত অশুচি থাকিবে"। (লেবীয় ১৫:১৬)  

"If a man has an emission of semen, he shall bathe his whole body in water and be unclean until the evening"। (Leviticus 15:16)

১২. "স্ত্রীলোক ঋতুস্রাবের সময়ে সাত দিন অশুচি থাকিবে; যে কেহ তাহাকে স্পর্শ করে, সেও সন্ধ্যা পর্যন্ত অশুচি থাকিবে"। (লেবীয় ১৫:১৯-২০)  

"When a woman has a discharge of blood, she shall be in her menstrual impurity for seven days. Whoever touches her shall be unclean until the evening"। (Leviticus 15:19-20)

১৩. "তোমার মাথার চারিদিকে চুল গোল করিয়া ছাঁটিবে না, দাড়ির প্রান্তও নষ্ট করিবে না"। (লেবীয় ১৯:২৭)  

"You shall not round off the hair on your temples or mar the edges of your beard"। (Leviticus 19:27)

১৪. "তুমি আপন মাংসের নিমিত্ত কোন চিহ্ন দিয়া আপন দেহ কাটিবে না, আর গায়ে প hình খুদিবে না"। (লেবীয় ১৯:২৮)  

"You shall not make any cuts on your body for the dead or tattoo yourselves"। (Leviticus 19:28)

১৫. "কোন পুরুষ স্ত্রীলোকের পরিচ্ছদ পরিবে না, স্ত্রীলোকও পুরুষের পোশাক পরিবে না"। (দ্বিতীয় বিবরণ ২২:৫)  

"A woman shall not wear a man’s garment, nor shall a man put on a woman’s cloak"। (Deuteronomy 22:5)

১৬. "যদি কেহ শনিবারে কাজ করে, তবে সে অবশ্য মারিয়া ফেলিবে"। (যাত্রাপুস্তক ৩১:১৫)  

"Whoever does any work on the Sabbath day shall be put to death"। (Exodus 31:15)

১৭. "তুমি আপন দেবতার কাছে পতিতার উপার্জন কিংবা কুকুরের মূল্য আনিবে না"। (দ্বিতীয় বিবরণ ২৩:১৮)  

"You shall not bring the wages of a prostitute or the price of a dog into the house of the LORD your God"। (Deuteronomy 23:18)

১৮. "লাল গাভী নির্দোষ, তাহার উপরে যোয়ালি উঠে নাই, এমন গাভী আনিয়া পুরোহিতের সাক্ষাতে বধ করিবে; তাহার ছাই দ্বারা অশুচিকে শুচি করিবে"। (গণনাপুস্তক ১৯:২-৯)  

"Bring a red heifer without blemish, and let him slaughter it. Then a clean man shall gather its ashes"। (Numbers 19:2-9)

১৯. "যে কেহ মৃতদেহ স্পর্শ করে, সে সাত দিন অশুচি থাকিবে; তৃতীয় ও সপ্তম দিনে সেই জল দ্বারা নিজেকে শুচি করিবে"। (গণনাপুস্তক ১৯:১১-১২)  

"Whoever touches the dead body of any person shall be unclean seven days. He shall purify himself with the water on the third day and on the seventh day"। (Numbers 19:11-12)

২০. "যদি কোন স্ত্রীলোকের স্বামী মরে, আর তাহার পুত্র না থাকে, তবে তাহার দেওর সেই স্ত্রীলোককে বিবাহ করিবে; প্রথম পুত্র মৃত ভ্রাতার নামে গণ্য হইবে"। (দ্বিতীয় বিবরণ ২৫:৫-৬)  

"If brothers dwell together, and one of them dies and has no son, the wife of the dead man shall not be married outside to a stranger. Her husband’s brother shall go in to her"। (Deuteronomy 25:5-6)

২১. "তুমি নিজ ক্ষেত্রের প্রান্তভাগ সম্পূর্ণরূপে কাটিবে না, আর কুড়ান শস্যও কুড়াইবে না"। (লেবীয় ১৯:৯)  

"You shall not reap to the very edges of your field, neither shall you gather the gleanings after your harvest"। (Leviticus 19:9)

২২. "তুমি চুরি করিবে না, মিথ্যা বলিবে না, আপন প্রতিবেশীকে বঞ্চনা করিবে না"। (লেবীয় ১৯:১১)  

"You shall not steal; you shall not deal falsely; you shall not lie to one another"। (Leviticus 19:11)

২৩. "তুমি আপন প্রতিবেশীর বিরুদ্ধে মিথ্যা সাক্ষ্য দিবে না"। (যাত্রাপুস্তক ২০:১৬)  

"You shall not bear false witness against your neighbor"। (Exodus 20:16)

২৪. "তুমি আপন প্রতিবেশীর স্ত্রী, দাস-দাসী, গরু, গাধা, তাহার কোন কিছুর লোভ করিবে না"। (যাত্রাপুস্তক ২০:১৭)  

"You shall not covet your neighbor’s wife, or his male servant, or his female servant, or his ox, or his donkey, or anything that is your neighbor’s"। (Exodus 20:17)

২৫. "যদি কোন লোক কোন লোককে প্রহার করিয়া মারে, তবে সে অবশ্য মারিয়া ফেলিবে"। (যাত্রাপুস্তক ২১:১২)  

"Whoever strikes a man so that he dies shall be put to death"। (Exodus 21:12)

২৬. "যদি কোন ষাঁড় কোন পুরুষ কিংবা স্ত্রীলোককে শিং মারিয়া মারে, তবে ষাঁড়কে প্রস্তরাঘাতে মারিবে"। (যাত্রাপুস্তক ২১:২৮)  

"When an ox gores a man or a woman to death, the ox shall be stoned, and its flesh shall not be eaten"। (Exodus 21:28)

২৭. "দাঁতের বদলে দাঁত, চোখের বদলে চোখ, হাতের বদলে হাত, পায়ের বদলে পা"। (যাত্রাপুস্তক ২১:২৪-২৫)  

"Eye for eye, tooth for tooth, hand for hand, foot for foot"। (Exodus 21:24-25)

২৮. "তুমি খঞ্জকে অভিশাপ দিবে না, অন্ধের সম্মুখে বাধা রাখিবে না"। (লেবীয় ১৯:১৪)  

"You shall not curse the deaf or put a stumbling block before the blind"। (Leviticus 19:14)

২৯. "তুমি ধার্মিকতার সহিত বিচার করিবে; তুমি দরিদ্রের মুখ চাহিবে না, ধনবানের সম্মানও করিবে না"। (লেবীয় ১৯:১৫)  

"You shall do no injustice in court. You shall not be partial to the poor or defer to the great"। (Leviticus 19:15)

৩০. "তোমাদের মধ্যে পরদেশী বাস করিলে তাহাকে উপদ্রব করিবে না; কেননা মিসর দেশে তোমরাও পরদেশী ছিলে"। (লেবীয় ১৯:৩৪)  

"You shall not oppress a sojourner. You were sojourners in the land of Egypt"। (Leviticus 19:34)

৩১. "যদি কেহ আপন পিতা কি মাতাকে অভিশাপ দেয়, তবে সে অবশ্য মারিয়া ফেলিবে"। (যাত্রাপুস্তক ২১:১৭)  

"Whoever curses his father or his mother shall be put to death"। (Exodus 21:17)

৩২. "যে কেহ আপন পিতার স্ত্রীর বিবস্ত্রতা দেখে, সে আপন পিতার বিবস্ত্রতা দেখিয়াছে; তাহারা উভয়ে মারিয়া ফেলিবে"। (লেবীয় ২০:১১)  

"If a man lies with his father’s wife, he has uncovered his father’s nakedness; both of them shall surely be put to death"। (Leviticus 20:11)

৩৩. "যে কেহ আপন পুত্রবধূর সহিত শয়ন করে, তাহারা উভয়ে মারিয়া ফেলিবে"। (লেবীয় ২০:১২)  

"If a man lies with his daughter-in-law, both of them shall surely be put to death"। (Leviticus 20:12)

৩৪. "যে কেহ কোন পুরুষের সহিত স্ত্রীগমনের ন্যায় শয়ন করে, তাহারা উভয়ে ঘৃণার কর্ম করিয়াছে; তাহারা অবশ্য মারিয়া ফেলিবে"। (লেবীয় ২০:১৩)  

"If a man lies with a male as with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination; they shall surely be put to death"। (Leviticus 20:13)

৩৫. "যে কেহ কোন স্ত্রীলোক ও তাহার মাতাকে বিবাহ করে, সে দুষ্টতা করিয়াছে; তাহাদিগকে আগুনে পোড়াইয়া মারিবে"। (লেবীয় ২০:১৪)  

"If a man marries a woman and her mother, it is depravity; they shall burn him and them with fire"। (Leviticus 20:14)

৩৬. "তুমি ভবিষ্যদ্‌বক্তা হইয়া মেঘ দেখিয়া, কিংবা শকুন দেখিয়া, কিংবা মন্ত্র করিবে না"। (লেবীয় ১৯:২৬)  

"You shall not practice divination or tell fortunes"। (Leviticus 19:26)

৩৭. "তুমি মৃতের জন্য প্রেতাত্মার কাছে যাইবে না, ভাবুকের কাছে যাইবে না; তাহাদের দ্বারা অশুচি হইবে না"। (লেবীয় ১৯:৩১)  

"Do not turn to mediums or necromancers; do not seek them out, and so make yourselves unclean by them"। (Leviticus 19:31)

৩৮. "ধূসর কেশের সম্মুখে উঠিবে, বৃদ্ধের সম্মান করিবে"। (লেবীয় ১৯:৩২)  

"You shall stand up before the gray head and honor the face of an old man"। (Leviticus 19:32)

৩৯. "তোমাদের বাটখারা সৎ হইবে, তোমাদের এফা সৎ হইবে"। (লেবীয় ১৯:৩৬)  

"You shall have just balances, just weights, a just ephah, and a just hin"। (Leviticus 19:36)

৪০. "তুমি আপন ভ্রাতার হৃদয়ে ঘৃণা রাখিবে না; অবশ্য আপন প্রতিবেশীকে অনুযোগ করিবে"। (লেবীয় ১৯:১৭)  

"You shall not hate your brother in your heart, but you shall reason frankly with your neighbor"। (Leviticus 19:17)

৪১. "তুমি প্রতিশোধ লইবে না, আপন জাতির লোকদের বিরুদ্ধে রাগও রাখিবে না; কিন্তু আপন প্রতিবেশীকে নিজের মত প্রেম করিবে"। (লেবীয় ১৯:১৮)  

"You shall not take vengeance or bear a grudge against the sons of your own people, but you shall love your neighbor as yourself"। (Leviticus 19:18)

৪২. "যে কেহ কোন নপুংসককে কিংবা অণ্ডচ্ছিন্ন পুরুষকে সদাপ্রভুর মণ্ডলীতে প্রবেশ করিতে দিবে না"। (দ্বিতীয় বিবরণ ২৩:১)  

"No one whose testicles are crushed or whose male organ is cut off shall enter the assembly of the LORD"। (Deuteronomy 23:1)

৪৩. "বেশ্যার পুত্র সদাপ্রভুর মণ্ডলীতে প্রবেশ করিবে না; তাহার দশম পুরুষ পর্যন্ত সদাপ্রভুর মণ্ডলীতে প্রবেশ করিবে না"। (দ্বিতীয় বিবরণ ২৩:২)  

"No one born of a forbidden union shall enter the assembly of the LORD. Even to the tenth generation, none of his descendants shall enter the assembly of the LORD"। (Deuteronomy 23:2)

৪৪. "অম্মোনীয় কি মোয়াবীয় সদাপ্রভুর মণ্ডলীতে প্রবেশ করিবে না; তাহাদের দশম পুরুষ পর্যন্ত সদাপ্রভুর মণ্ডলীতে প্রবেশ করিবে না"। (দ্বিতীয় বিবরণ ২৩:৩)  

"No Ammonite or Moabite shall enter the assembly of the LORD. Even to the tenth generation, none of them shall enter the assembly of the LORD"। (Deuteronomy 23:3)

৪৫. "তুমি আপন ভ্রাতাকে ঘৃণা করিবে না; সে তোমার ভ্রাতা"। (দ্বিতীয় বিবরণ ২৩:৭)  

"You shall not abhor an Edomite, for he is your brother"। (Deuteronomy 23:7)

৪৬. "যখন তুমি শিবিরের বাহিরে যাও, তখন তোমার একটি হাতা থাকিবে"। (দ্বিতীয় বিবরণ ২৩:১২-১৩)  

"You shall have a trowel with your tools, and when you sit down outside, you shall dig a hole with it and turn back and cover up your excrement"। (Deuteronomy 23:12-13)

৪৭. "পলায়িত দাসকে তাহার প্রভুর হস্তে সমর্পণ করিবে না"। (দ্বিতীয় বিবরণ ২৩:১৫-১৬)  

"You shall not give up to his master a slave who has escaped from his master to you"। (Deuteronomy 23:15)

৪৮. "তুমি তোমার ভ্রাতার নিকট হইতে সুদ লইবে না; রৌপ্যের সুদ, খাদ্যের সুদ, যে কোন জিনিসের সুদ লইবে না"। (দ্বিতীয় বিবরণ ২৩:১৯)  

"You shall not charge interest on loans to your brother, interest on money, interest on food, interest on anything that is lent for interest"। (Deuteronomy 23:19)

৪৯. "তুমি যখন তোমার প্রতিবেশীর দ্রাক্ষাক্ষেত্রে প্রবেশ কর, তখন যত ইচ্ছা দ্রাক্ষা খাইতে পারিবে; কিন্তু পাত্রে পুরিয়া লইবে না"। (দ্বিতীয় বিবরণ ২৩:২৪)  

"If you go into your neighbor’s vineyard, you may eat grapes as many as you wish, but you shall not put any in a bag"। (Deuteronomy 23:24)

৫০. "তুমি যখন তোমার প্রতিবেশীর শস্যক্ষেতে প্রবেশ কর, তখন হাত দিয়া শীষ ছিঁড়িতে পারিবে; কিন্তু শস্যের উপরে কাস্তে তুলিবে না"। (দ্বিতীয় বিবরণ ২৩:২৫)  

"If you go into your neighbor’s standing grain, you may pluck the ears with your hand, but you shall not put a sickle to your neighbor’s standing grain"। (Deuteronomy 23:25)

৫১. "কোন পুরুষ স্ত্রীকে ত্যাগপত্র লিখিয়া দিয়া তাহাকে ঘর হইতে বাহির করিয়া দিলে, সে অন্য পুরুষের স্ত্রী হইলে, প্রথম স্বামী তাহাকে আর বিবাহ করিতে পারিবে না"। (দ্বিতীয় বিবরণ ২৪:১-৪)  

"When a man takes a wife and marries her, if she finds no favor in his eyes because he has found some indecency in her, then let him write her a certificate of divorce. And if she marries another man, then her former husband may not take her again to be his wife"। (Deuteronomy 24:1-4)

৫২. "কেহ নূতন বিবাহ করিলে সে যুদ্ধে যাইবে না, তাহার উপরে কোন ভারও চাপাইবে না; সে এক বৎসর আপন গৃহে স্বাধীন থাকিবে"। (দ্বিতীয় বিবরণ ২৪:৫)  

"When a man is newly married, he shall not go out with the army or be liable for any other public duty. He shall be free at home one year to be happy with his wife whom he has taken"। (Deuteronomy 24:5)

৫৩. "কেহ যাঁতার নিচের পাথর কি উপরের পাথর বন্ধক লইবে না; কেননা সে প্রাণ বন্ধক লয়"। (দ্বিতীয় বিবরণ ২৪:৬)  

"No one shall take a mill or an upper millstone in pledge, for that would be taking a life in pledge"। (Deuteronomy 24:6)

৫৪. "যদি কোন লোক ইস্রায়েল সন্তানগণের মধ্যে আপন ভ্রাতাকে চুরি করিয়া দাস করিয়া বিক্রয় করে, তবে সেই চোর মরিবে"। (দ্বিতীয় বিবরণ ২৪:৭)  

"If a man is found stealing one of his brothers of the people of Israel, and if he treats him as a slave or sells him, then that thief shall die"। (Deuteronomy 24:7)

৫৫. "তুমি কুষ্ঠরোগের বিষয়ে সাবধান থাকিবে; যাজকেরা তোমাকে যাহা আজ্ঞা দেয়, তাহা মনোযোগপূর্বক পালন করিবে"। (দ্বিতীয় বিবরণ ২৪:৮)  

"Take care, in a case of leprous disease, to be very careful to do according to all that the Levitical priests shall teach you"। (Deuteronomy 24:8)

৫৬. "তুমি যখন তোমার প্রতিবেশীর ক্ষেতে ফসল কাট, আর একটি আঁটি ভুলিয়া যাও, তবে তাহা আনিতে ফিরিয়া যাইবে না"। (দ্বিতীয় বিবরণ ২৪:১৯)  

"When you reap your harvest in your field and forget a sheaf in the field, you shall not go back to get it. It shall be for the sojourner, the fatherless, and the widow"। (Deuteronomy 24:19)

৫৭. "তুমি যখন জলপাইগাছ ঝাড়, তখন তাহার পরেও আর ঝাড়িবে না; তাহা পরদেশীর, পিতৃহীনের ও বিধবার জন্য থাকিবে"। (দ্বিতীয় বিবরণ ২৪:২০)  

"When you beat your olive trees, you shall not go over them again. It shall be for the sojourner, the fatherless, and the widow"। (Deuteronomy 24:20)

৫৮. "তুমি যখন তোমার দ্রাক্ষাক্ষেতের ফল কাট, তখন তাহার পরেও কুড়াইবে না; তাহা পরদেশীর, পিতৃহীনের ও বিধবার জন্য থাকিবে"। (দ্বিতীয় বিবরণ ২৪:২১)  

"When you gather the grapes of your vineyard, you shall not glean behind you. It shall be for the sojourner, the fatherless, and the widow"। (Deuteronomy 24:21)

৫৯. "দুই বা তিনজন সাক্ষীর সাক্ষ্যে কোন বিষয় স্থির হইবে; একজনের সাক্ষ্যে কোন বিষয় স্থির হইবে না"। (দ্বিতীয় বিবরণ ১৯:১৫)  

"A single witness shall not suffice against a person for any crime or for any wrong in connection with any offense that he has committed. Only on the evidence of two witnesses or of three witnesses shall a charge be established"। (Deuteronomy 19:15)

৬০. "মিথ্যা সাক্ষী যেমন সাক্ষ্য দিয়াছে, তাহার ভাইয়ের বিরুদ্ধে, তুমিও তাহার প্রতি তেমনি করিবে"। (দ্বিতীয় বিবরণ ১৯:১৯)  

"Then you shall do to him as he had meant to do to his brother. So you shall purge the evil from your midst"। (Deuteronomy 19:19)

৬১. "তোমার চক্ষু ক্ষমা করিবে না; প্রাণের বদলে প্রাণ, চোখের বদলে চোখ"। (দ্বিতীয় বিবরণ ১৯:২১)  

"Your eye shall not pity. It shall be life for life, eye for eye, tooth for tooth, hand for hand, foot for foot"। (Deuteronomy 19:21)

৬২. "তুমি যখন কোন নগরের কাছে যুদ্ধ করিতে যাও, তখন প্রথমে তাহাকে সন্ধির কথা বলিবে"। (দ্বিতীয় বিবরণ ২০:১০)  

"When you draw near to a city to fight against it, offer terms of peace to it"। (Deuteronomy 20:10)

৬৩. "যদি সে সন্ধির উত্তর না দিয়া তোমার সহিত যুদ্ধ করে, তবে তাহার সমস্ত পুরুষকে খড়্গ দ্বারা আঘাত করিবে"। (দ্বিতীয় বিবরণ ২০:১২-১৩)  

"If it makes no peace with you but makes war against you, then you shall besiege it. And when the LORD your God gives it into your hand, you shall put all its males to the sword"। (Deuteronomy 20:12-13)

৬৪. "স্ত্রীলোক, শিশু, পশু ও নগরের সমস্ত ধন লুট করিবে"। (দ্বিতীয় বিবরণ ২০:১৪)  

"But the women and the little ones, the livestock, and all that is in the city, all its spoil, you shall take as plunder for yourselves"। (Deuteronomy 20:14)

৬৫. "কিন্তু এই জাতিদের নগরে তুমি কোন প্রাণীকে বাঁচিতে দিবে না"। (দ্বিতীয় বিবরণ ২০:১৬)  

"But in the cities of these peoples that the LORD your God is giving you for an inheritance, you shall save alive nothing that breathes"। (Deuteronomy 20:16)

৬৬. "তুমি নগরের বিরুদ্ধে যুদ্ধ করিতে গিয়া তাহার চতুর্দিকের গাছ কাটিয়া ফেলিবে না; কেননা মানুষের খাদ্য কি গাছ?"। (দ্বিতীয় বিবরণ ২০:১৯)  

"When you besiege a city for a long time, making war against it in order to take it, you shall not destroy its trees by wielding an axe against them"। (Deuteronomy 20:19)

৬৭. "ফলবৃক্ষ তুমি কাটিবে না; কেননা তাহা হইতে তুমি আহার করিবে"। (দ্বিতীয় বিবরণ ২০:২০)  

"Only the trees that you know are not trees for food you may destroy and cut down"। (Deuteronomy 20:20)

৬৮. "যদি কোন হত্যাকারী কাহাকে আঘাত করিয়া মারে, তবে রক্তের প্রতিশোধক তাহাকে মারিয়া ফেলিবে"। (গণনাপুস্তক ৩৫:১৯)  

"The avenger of blood shall himself put the murderer to death; when he meets him, he shall put him to death"। (Numbers 35:19)

৬৯. "হত্যাকারীকে প্রায়শ্চিত্তের জন্য অর্থ লইবে না; কেননা সে অবশ্য মারিয়া ফেলিবে"। (গণনাপুস্তক ৩৫:৩১)  

"Moreover, you shall accept no ransom for the life of a murderer, who is guilty of death, but he shall be put to death"। (Numbers 35:31)

৭০. "তুমি আপন কন্যাকে বেশ্যা করিয়া তাহাকে অপবিত্র করিবে না; পাছে দেশ ব্যভিচারপূর্ণ হয়"। (লেবীয় ১৯:২৯)  

"Do not profane your daughter by making her a prostitute, lest the land fall into prostitution and the land become full of depravity"। (Leviticus 19:29)

৭১. "তুমি মূর্তির দিকে ফিরিবে না, ঢালাই দেবতাও নির্মাণ করিবে না"। (লেবীয় ১৯:৪)  

"Do not turn to idols or make for yourselves any gods of cast metal"। (Leviticus 19:4)

৭২. "তুমি মঙ্গলার্থক বলিদান করিলে, তাহা সদাপ্রভুর সন্তোষের নিমিত্ত করিবে"। (লেবীয় ১৯:৫)  

"When you offer a sacrifice of peace offerings to the LORD, you shall offer it so that you may be accepted"। (Leviticus 19:5)

৭৩. "তৃতীয় দিনে তাহার কিছু অবশিষ্ট থাকিলে আগুনে পোড়াইবে"। (লেবীয় ১৯:৬)  

"It shall be eaten the same day you offer it or on the next day, and what remains on the third day shall be burned up with fire"। (Leviticus 19:6)

৭৪. "তুমি আপন ভ্রাতার গরু কি মেষ ভ্রমে যাইতে দেখিলে উপেক্ষা করিবে না; অবশ্য তাহা ফিরাইয়া দিবে"। (দ্বিতীয় বিবরণ ২২:১)  

"You shall not see your brother’s ox or his sheep going astray and ignore it. You shall take it back to your brother"। (Deuteronomy 22:1)

৭৫. "তুমি পথে গিয়া যদি কোন গাছে কিংবা মাটিতে পাখির বাসা দেখ, আর তাহাতে ডিম কিংবা ছানা থাকে, তবে মাকে ছানার উপরে বসিয়া থাকিতে দেখিলে মাকে ছানার সহিত লইবে না"। (দ্বিতীয় বিবরণ ২২:৬)  

"If you come across a bird’s nest in any tree or on the ground, with young ones or eggs and the mother sitting on the young or on the eggs, you shall not take the mother with the young"। (Deuteronomy 22:6)

৭৬. "যখন তুমি নূতন ঘর নির্মাণ করিবে, তখন ছাদের চারিদিকে প্রাচীর দিবে; পাছে কেহ ছাদ হইতে পড়িয়া যায়"। (দ্বিতীয় বিবরণ ২২:৮)  

"When you build a new house, you shall make a parapet for your roof, that you may not bring the guilt of blood upon your house, if anyone should fall from it"। (Deuteronomy 22:8)

৭৭. "যদি কোন পুরুষ কোন কুমারীর সহিত বাগদত্তা হইয়া শয়ন করে, আর নগরে ধরা পড়ে, তবে তাহাদিগকে নগরের দ্বারে লইয়া গিয়া প্রস্তরাঘাতে মারিয়া ফেলিবে"। (দ্বিতীয় বিবরণ ২২:২৩-২৪)  

"If there is a betrothed virgin, and a man meets her in the city and lies with her, then you shall bring them both out to the gate of that city, and you shall stone them to death with stones"। (Deuteronomy 22:23-24)

৭৮. "কিন্তু যদি সেই পুরুষ মাঠে সেই বাগদত্তা কুমারীকে পাইয়া তাহাকে জোর করিয়া শয়ন করে, তবে যে পুরুষ শয়ন করিয়াছে, সে একাই মরিবে"। (দ্বিতীয় বিবরণ ২২:২৫-২৬)  

"But if in the open country a man meets a young woman who is betrothed, and the man seizes her and lies with her, then only the man who lay with her shall die"। (Deuteronomy 22:25-26)

৭৯. "কুমারীর পিতা যদি সেই পুরুষকে কন্যা দিতে অসম্মত হয়, তবে সে কন্যার মূল্যের সমান রৌপ্য ওজন করিয়া দিবে"। (যাত্রাপুস্তক ২২:১৬-১৭)  

"If a man seduces a virgin who is not betrothed and lies with her, he shall give the bride-price for her and make her his wife"। (Exodus 22:16-17)

৮০. "তুমি যাদুকরীকে বাঁচিতে দিবে না"। (যাত্রাপুস্তক ২২:১৮)  

"You shall not permit a sorceress to live"। (Exodus 22:18)

৮১. "যে কেহ ঈশ্বর ভিন্ন অন্য দেবতার কাছে বলিদান করে, সে উচ্ছিন্ন হইবে"। (যাত্রাপুস্তক ২২:২০)  

"Whoever sacrifices to any god, other than the LORD alone, shall be devoted to destruction"। (Exodus 22:20)

৮২. "তুমি পরদেশীকে উপদ্রব করিবে না, তাহাকে পীড়নও করিবে না; কেননা মিসর দেশে তোমরাও পরদেশী ছিলে"। (যাত্রাপুস্তক ২২:২১)  

"You shall not wrong a sojourner or oppress him, for you were sojourners in the land of Egypt"। (Exodus 22:21)

৮৩. "তুমি কোন বিধবা কি পিতৃহীনকে ক্লেশ দিবে না; যদি তুমি তাহাদিগকে ক্লেশ দেও, তবে সে আমার কাছে কাঁদিলে আমি অবশ্য তাহার কান্না শুনিব"। (যাত্রাপুস্তক ২২:২২-২৩)  

"You shall not mistreat any widow or fatherless child. If you do mistreat them, and they cry out to me, I will surely hear their cry"। (Exodus 22:22-23)

৮৪. "তুমি তোমার প্রতিবেশীকে সুদে টাকা ধার দিলে, তাহার বস্ত্র বন্ধক লইলে, সূর্যাস্তের পূর্বে তাহাকে ফিরাইয়া দিবে"। (যাত্রাপুস্তক ২২:২৫-২৬)  

"If you take your neighbor’s cloak in pledge, you shall return it to him before the sun goes down"। (Exodus 22:25-26)

৮৫. "তুমি ঈশ্বরকে মন্দ বলিবে না, তোমার জাতির শাসনকর্তাকে অভিশাপ দিবে না"। (যাত্রাপুস্তক ২২:২৮)  

"You shall not revile God, nor curse a ruler of your people"। (Exodus 22:28)

৮৬. "তুমি তোমার গম, দ্রাক্ষারস ও তৈলের প্রথম ফল বিলম্ব করিবে না"। (যাত্রাপুস্তক ২২:২৯)  

"You shall not delay to offer from the fullness of your harvest and from the outflow of your presses"। (Exodus 22:29)

৮৭. "তুমি পবিত্র লোক হইবে; অতএব মাঠে ছিন্নভিন্ন পশু খাইবে না"। (যাত্রাপুস্তক ২২:৩১)  

"You shall be consecrated to me. Therefore you shall not eat any flesh that is torn by beasts in the field"। (Exodus 22:31)

৮৮. "মিথ্যা রব উড়াইবে না; দুষ্টের সহিত হাত মিলাইয়া অন্যায় সাক্ষী হইবে না"। (যাত্রাপুস্তক ২৩:১)  

"You shall not spread a false report. You shall not join hands with a wicked man to be a malicious witness"। (Exodus 23:1)

৮৯. "বহুলোকের অনুসরণ করিয়া মন্দ করিবে না; বিচারে বহুলোকের পক্ষ লইয়া ন্যায় বিকৃত করিবে না"। (যাত্রাপুস্তক ২৩:২)  

"You shall not fall in with the many to do evil, nor shall you bear witness in a lawsuit, siding with the many, so as to pervert justice"। (Exodus 23:2)

৯০. "দরিদ্রের পক্ষে বিচারে পক্ষপাতও করিবে না"। (যাত্রাপুস্তক ২৩:৩)  

"Nor shall you be partial to a poor man in his lawsuit"। (Exodus 23:3)

৯১. "যদি তুমি তোমার শত্রুর গরু কিংবা গাধা ভ্রমে যাইতে দেখ, তবে অবশ্য তাহার কাছে ফিরাইয়া দিবে"। (যাত্রাপুস্তক ২৩:৪)  

"If you meet your enemy’s ox or his donkey going astray, you shall bring it back to him"। (Exodus 23:4)

৯২. "যদি তুমি তোমার শত্রুর গাধাকে তাহার বোঝার নিচে পড়িয়া থাকিতে দেখ, তবে তাহাকে ছাড়িয়া যাইবে না; অবশ্য তাহার সহিত তাহা তুলিয়া দিবে"। (যাত্রাপুস্তক ২৩:৫)  

"If you see the donkey of one who hates you lying down under its burden, you shall refrain from leaving him with it; you shall rescue it with him"। (Exodus 23:5)

৯৩. "তুমি মিথ্যা বিষয় হইতে দূরে থাকিবে; নির্দোষ ও ধার্মিককে মারিবে না"। (যাত্রাপুস্তক ২৩:৭)  

"Keep far from a false charge, and do not kill the innocent and righteous"। (Exodus 23:7)

৯৪. "ঘুষ লইবে না; কেননা ঘুষ জ্ঞানবান লোকের চক্ষু অন্ধ করে, ধার্মিকের কথা বিকৃত করে"। (যাত্রাপুস্তক ২৩:৮)  

"And you shall take no bribe, for a bribe blinds the clear-sighted and subverts the cause of those who are in the right"। (Exodus 23:8)

৯৫. "ছয় বৎসর তুমি তোমার ক্ষেত্র বুনিবে, ছয় বৎসর তোমার দ্রাক্ষাক্ষেত ছাঁটিবে; কিন্তু সপ্তম বৎসর ভূমি বিশ্রাম করিবে"। (যাত্রাপুস্তক ২৩:১০-১১)  

"For six years you shall sow your land and gather in its yield, but the seventh year you shall let it rest and lie fallow"। (Exodus 23:10-11)

৯৬. "ছয় দিন কাজ করিবে, সপ্তম দিনে বিশ্রাম করিবে; যেন তোমার গরু ও গাধা বিশ্রাম পায়"। (যাত্রাপুস্তক ২৩:১২)  

"Six days you shall do your work, but on the seventh day you shall rest; that your ox and your donkey may have rest"। (Exodus 23:12)

৯৭. "বৎসরে তিন বার তুমি আমার পর্ব পালন করিবে"। (যাত্রাপুস্তক ২৩:১৪)  

"Three times in the year you shall keep a feast to me"। (Exodus 23:14)

৯৮. "তুমি তোমার ঈশ্বর সদাপ্রভুর নিকটে খামিরযুক্ত রুটির সহিত বলিদানের রক্ত আনিবে না"। (যাত্রাপুস্তক ২৩:১৮)  

"You shall not offer the blood of my sacrifice with anything leavened"। (Exodus 23:18)

৯৯. "আমি তোমার অগ্রে দূত পাঠাইব; তিনি পথে তোমাকে রক্ষা করিবেন, আর যে স্থান আমি প্রস্তুত করিয়াছি, সেই স্থানে তোমাকে লইয়া যাইবেন"। (যাত্রাপুস্তক ২৩:২০)  

"Behold, I send an angel before you to guard you on the way and to bring you to the place that I have prepared"। (Exodus 23:20)

১০০. "তুমি তাহাদের দেবতাদের কাছে প্রণিপাত করিবে না, তাহাদের সেবাও করিবে না; কিন্তু তাহাদিগকে একেবারে ধ্বংস করিবে"। (যাত্রাপুস্তক ২৩:২৪)  

"You shall not bow down to their gods nor serve them, but you shall utterly overthrow them and break their pillars in pieces"। (Exodus 23:24)

* মুসা নবীর ঈশ্বরের সঙ্গে দেখা-আলাপ।

১. "ঈশ্বর জ্বলন্ত ঝোপের মধ্য হইতে তাহাকে ডাকিয়া কহিলেন, মোশি, মোশি। সে কহিল, আমি এইখানে। তখন তিনি কহিলেন, নিকটে আসিও না; পায়ের জুতা খুলিয়া ফেল, কেননা যে স্থানে তুমি দাঁড়াইয়া আছ, সে স্থান পবিত্র ভূমি"। (যাত্রাপুস্তক ৩:৪-৫)  

"God called to him out of the bush, Moses, Moses! And he said, Here I am. Then he said, Do not come near; take your sandals off your feet, for the place on which you are standing is holy ground"। (Exodus 3:4-5)

২. "আর সদাপ্রভু কহিলেন, আমি মিসরে আমার প্রজাদের দুঃখ দেখিয়াছি, ও তাহাদের আর্তনাদ শুনিয়াছি; এই কারণ আমি নামিয়া আসিয়াছি তাহাদিগকে মিসরীয়দের হস্ত হইতে উদ্ধার করিতে। অতএব আইস, আমি তোমাকে ফরৌণের নিকটে পাঠাই"। (যাত্রাপুস্তক ৩:৭-১০)  

"Then the LORD said, I have surely seen the affliction of my people who are in Egypt and have heard their cry. Come, I will send you to Pharaoh that you may bring my people, the children of Israel, out of Egypt"। (Exodus 3:7-10)

৩. "মোশি ঈশ্বরকে কহিল, দেখ, আমি ইস্রায়েল সন্তানগণের নিকটে যাইয়া তাহাদিগকে বলি, তোমাদের পিতৃপুরুষের ঈশ্বর আমাকে তোমাদের নিকটে পাঠাইয়াছেন; আর তাহারা যদি আমাকে জিজ্ঞাসা করে, তাঁহার নাম কি, তবে আমি তাহাদিগকে কি বলিব? ঈশ্বর মোশিকে কহিলেন, আমি যিনি আছি, আমি সেই"। (যাত্রাপুস্তক ৩:১৩-১৪)  

"Moses said to God, If I come to the people of Israel and say to them, The God of your fathers has sent me to you, and they ask me, What is his name? what shall I say to them? God said to Moses, I AM WHO I AM"। (Exodus 3:13-14)

৪. "মোশি উত্তর দিয়া কহিল, কিন্তু দেখুন, তাহারা আমাকে বিশ্বাস করিবে না, আমার বাক্যও শুনিবে না; কেননা বলিবে, সদাপ্রভু তোমাকে দর্শন দেন নাই। তখন সদাপ্রভু তাহাকে কহিলেন, তোমার হাতে ওটা কি? সে কহিল, লাঠি"। (যাত্রাপুস্তক ৪:১-২)  

"But Moses answered, But behold, they will not believe me or listen to my voice, for they will say, The LORD did not appear to you. The LORD said to him, What is that in your hand? He said, A staff"। (Exodus 4:1-2)

৫. "সদাপ্রভু মোশির সহিত মুখোমুখি কথা কহিতেন, যেমন একজন বন্ধু অন্য বন্ধুর সহিত কথা কয়; পরে মোশি শিবিরে ফিরিয়া আসিতেন, কিন্তু নূনের পুত্র যিহোশূয় নামক তাঁহার যুবা পরিচারক তাম্বুর মধ্য হইতে যাইত না"। (যাত্রাপুস্তক ৩৩:১১)  

"Thus the LORD used to speak to Moses face to face, as a man speaks to his friend. When Moses turned again into the camp, his assistant Joshua the son of Nun, a young man, would not depart from the tent"। (Exodus 33:11)

৬. "মোশি কহিল, বিনয় করি, তোমার প্রতাপ আমাকে দেখাও। তিনি কহিলেন, আমি আমার সমস্ত মঙ্গল তোমার সম্মুখ দিয়া গমন করাইব, আর সদাপ্রভু নাম উচ্চারণ করিয়া তোমার সম্মুখে ঘোষণা করিব; আমি যাহার প্রতি দয়া করি, তাহার প্রতি দয়া করিব"। (যাত্রাপুস্তক ৩৩:১৮-১৯)  

"Moses said, Please show me your glory. And he said, I will make all my goodness pass before you and will proclaim before you my name The LORD. And I will be gracious to whom I will be gracious"। (Exodus 33:18-19)

৭. "তিনি আরও কহিলেন, তুমি আমার মুখ দেখিতে পাইবে না, কেননা মানুষ আমাকে দেখিয়া বাঁচিতে পারে না। সদাপ্রভু কহিলেন, দেখ, আমার নিকটে এক স্থান আছে, তুমি সেই শৈলের উপরে দাঁড়াইবে; আর আমার প্রতাপ যখন যাইবে, তখন আমি তোমাকে সেই শৈলের খোদলে রাখিব"। (যাত্রাপুস্তক ৩৩:২০-২১)  

"But he said, You cannot see my face, for man shall not see me and live. And the LORD said, Behold, there is a place by me where you shall stand on the rock, and while my glory passes by I will put you in a cleft of the rock"। (Exodus 33:20-21)

৮. "আর সদাপ্রভু সীনয় পর্বতে নামিয়া আসিলেন; সদাপ্রভু মোশিকে পর্বতের চূড়ায় ডাকিলেন, আর মোশি উঠিয়া গেলেন। তখন সদাপ্রভু মোশিকে কহিলেন, তুমি নামিয়া গিয়া লোকদিগকে সাবধান কর"। (যাত্রাপুস্তক ১৯:২০-২১)  

"The LORD came down on Mount Sinai, to the top of the mountain. And the LORD called Moses to the top of the mountain, and Moses went up. And the LORD said to Moses, Go down and warn the people"। (Exodus 19:20-21)

৯. "ঈশ্বর এই সমস্ত বাক্য বলিলেন, আমি তোমার ঈশ্বর সদাপ্রভু, যিনি তোমাকে মিসর দেশ হইতে, দাসগৃহ হইতে বাহির করিয়া আনিয়াছেন; আমার সাক্ষাতে তোমার অন্য দেবতা না থাকে"। (যাত্রাপুস্তক ২০:১-৩)  

"And God spoke all these words, saying, I am the LORD your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of slavery. You shall have no other gods before me"। (Exodus 20:1-3)

১০. "ইস্রায়েলে মুসার মত আর কোন ভাববাদী উৎপন্ন হয় নাই, যাহার সহিত সদাপ্রভু মুখোমুখি আলাপ করিয়াছেন; সদাপ্রভু তাঁহাকে মিসর দেশে ফরৌণের ও তাহার সমস্ত দাসের ও তাহার সমস্ত দেশের বিরুদ্ধে সমস্ত চিহ্ন ও অলৌকিক কার্য করিতে পাঠাইয়াছিলেন"। (দ্বিতীয় বিবরণ ৩৪:১০-১১)  

"And there has not arisen a prophet since in Israel like Moses, whom the LORD knew face to face, none like him for all the signs and the wonders that the LORD sent him to do in the land of Egypt"। (Deuteronomy 34:10-11)
